Lakshmi Narayanan, Secretary
Lakshmi moved to Ann Arbor in 1987 and worked for 15 years in the IT department of Washtenaw County Government. When she left her full-time position she was Manager, Applications.
She feels fortunate to live in such a supportive community and has volunteered in various capacities over the years. Some of the local organizations that matched her interests include Glazier Hills Nursing Center, Neighborhood Senior Services, St. Mary’s Parish soup kitchen and Washtenaw Literacy.
Currently, she is an active member of the Thrift Shop Association of Ann Arbor (where she served on the Board as the Social Services Chair in 2006) and regularly volunteers at the William L Clements Library on campus. She participates in the activities of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention especially their annual community walk.
Her husband teaches Finance at the Ross School of Business and she has a married daughter.
