Deepa Mukundan

Deepa is a physician with over 20 years experience in tackling problems related to the health of children. She completed her medical education at the University of Madras, Chennai, India, and her fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI.

Currently, as faculty at the University Of Toledo College Of Medicine, Toledo, Ohio, she advices on the care of children with serious infections and is responsible for the education of medical students and residents. In addition, she teaches community physicians on updating their skills in the prevention and appropriate management of infections in children.

Deepa is committed to improving the health and well being of women and children using simple public health strategies to prevent disease and hopes to bring her knowledge and expertise in advancing the mission of SPARSH.

She loves to cook and treasures spending time with her family and friends.
